Luang Prabang
Located in north central of Laos, Luang Prabang is former capital and UNESCO World heritage site of Laos. The city offers both French colonial architectures and urban buildings. Luang Prabang also is home of numerous Buddhist temples and monasteries. Besides, natural landscapes along the banks of Nam Khan River in the heart of Luang Prabang also attract foreign tourists.
 
Wat Xiengthong Luang Prabang Laos
a. Temple Wat Xiengthong
Wat Xiengthong is one of top attractions of Luang Prabang with more than 20 structures including a chapel, a drum tower, a library, monk quarters and many stupas. Built in 1560 and now Wat Xiengthong still keeps its original form with decoration of mosaics and carvings in wood.





Royal Palace Museum Luang Prabangb. Royal Palace Museum
Built in 1904, Royal Palace was the main residence of King Sisavang Vong (1905-1959). Now it is used as the most famous museum of Luang Prabang with exhibits showing Laos culture.

Wat Aham is known as the former residence of Sangharat, the supreme patriarch of Lao Buddhism, where combines both spirit worship and Buddhist practice.

Built in 1513 on the south side of Phou Si hill, Wat Visoun is the oldest temple of Luang Prabang. It features the huge stupa called That Makmo with many ancient Buddha images.
