From Yangon, Myanmar’s former capital and home of golden gilded Shwedagon Pagoda to mystical Buddhist temples of Bagan with optional excursion of hot air ballooning. Enjoy incredible sunset from the longest and oldest teakwood bridge of U Bein to leisurely boating on the serene waters of Inle Lake. To travel this time-locked land is to experience rarely sights, warm-hearted locals and myriads of secrets waiting to be told. This tour will excite, impress and intrigue you with your wide-eyes and smiles.
Itinerary Day by Day

On arrival at the Yangon international airport, welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check in and has a rest (Check in time is 14:00 and early check in is subject to availability). The former capital Yangon is the largest city and the most important commercial center in Myanmar.

Afterwards, visit the 2,600 years old Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred Buddhist pagoda for the Burmese can be seen from almost anywhere in Yangon. You will start at the eastern staircase where you will find the shops selling various religious items and other unique objects. Upon reaching at the main platform, witness the colors transform on the 100-meter pagoda which is literally covered with over 60 tons of gold leaf. Dinner will be on own account. Overnight in Yangon

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to Nyaung U (Bagan). Featuring more than 2000 red brick temples scattered across an area of 41 square kilometers in the central region of Myanmar, Bagan is known to be one of the greatest architectural sites in Asia.

Upon arrival, start your sightseeing with a visit to the renowned Shwezigon Pagoda, considered as the prototype of later Myanmar stupas; constructed by King Anarahta in the early 11th century.  Continue your visit to Kyansittha  U  Min, Htilominlo Temple and Gubyaukgyi Temple. Also visit to Manuha Temple built in 1059, and Nan Phaya which has been built in the 11th century by the Mon King Manuha. Then move on to some workshops of lacquer wares and wood crafts to learn about local production. Transfer back to your hotel for refreshment.

In the afternoon, drive to the jetty and board on a private boat along the majestic Ayarwaddy River towards Kyaukgu U Min. Enjoy the fabulous scenes of local lives on the water while cruising. Stop to explore a riverside village and observe the lives of the residents there before reaching Kyaukgu U Min, built during the 13th century for the locals to hide from the invading Mongols according to the legend. After your exploration, a combination of a relaxing cruise and car will take you back to the hotel. Lunch and dinner will be on your own account. Overnight in Bagan.

Your glorious morning will start with an exciting hot-air balloon ride over this ancient city of Bagan. You will enjoy an exotic view when the sun begins to rise over the Ayarwaddy River. (Only available from October to March)

Today, you will discover the settlement of Nyaung U and neighboring villages. Start with the vibrant Nyaung U Market - the busy market in New Bagan with great opportunities of photographing and mingling with the locals, watching how they earn their daily lives. We continue to Taungbi village where we visit the old wooden monastery built for royalty and two temples that are not popular but certainly worth a visit.


The rest of the day, the car and guide are available for additional visits of the temples and monuments till transfer back to your hotel for overnight. Lunch and dinner will be on own account.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Mandalay, Myanmar’s last royal capital. Upon arrival, welcome by our guide and drive to the ancient capital of Amarapura, “City of Immortality”. Observe the lunch process of a thousand monks who will take their last meal of the day at 10:00 am at Managandayon monastery, a center for monastic study and strict religious discipline. Continue on foot or by car to the U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teakwood bridge known as Myanmar’s most photographed site. Proceed to visit Shwein Bin Monastery noted for its exquisite wood carvings of Buddha's Doctrine and Maha Muni Pagoda, one of the country's most honored Buddha Images, which was completely covered in gold leaves applied by male devotees every day. Back to your hotel for check in and take a break at midday. (Check in time is 14:00 and early check-in is subject to availability).

Afternoon, visit the Mandalay Hill and the surroundings. First stop is Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, the pagoda of Great Marble Image and Kuthodaw Pagoda which is famous for its collection of 729 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings. You will also visit to ShweKyaung, the Golden Monastery which is a remarkable structure for its extraordinary woodcarvings and Atumashi Monastery. Then, walk up to Mandalay Hill, rising 240 meter above the city to enjoy a panoramic sunset view over the Ayarwaddy River and the city sprawl. Transfer back to your hotel for overnight. Lunch and dinner will be on own account.

Morning, transfer to Mandalay jetty and embark on a private  boat trip for a relaxing hour cruise  to Mingun Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, an incomplete monument stupa on  the bank of  Ayarwaddy  River.  Walk through the dusty plain to visit Mingun Bell, the world's second largest ringing bell weighing at 90 tons. Continue to Myatheintan Pagoda, the best representative pagoda of the Universe. You will also visit to the small neighborhoods before returning to Mandalay by boat.

Afternoon, proceed to some of the craft workshops making gold leaf, tapestries, wood carvings or marionettes, following by an expedition to the previous capital of Ava. Cross the small river by a local ferry boat and travel in a traditional horse cart to the wooden Bagaya Monastery celebrated for its elaborate woodcarvings. Observe Nanmyit Watch Tower which is also known as the leaning tower of Ava and the impressive MahaAungmyayBonzan Oak Kyaung. Lunch and dinner will be on your own account. Overnight in Mandalay.

After breakfast, transfer for one hour to the airport for your domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival, your guide will welcome and transfer to NyaungShwe, located adjacent to Inle Lake through the scenic Shan hills. En route, stop to visit the rural workshops that produce traditional Shan paper and handcrafted umbrellas.

Upon reaching the edge of the lake, take a short tour around this charming Shan town. Visit one of the tomato houses where tomatoes are sorted and priced for sales and some of the many monasteries and nunneries. Then aboard on a private motorboat to Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most fascinating sights.

In the afternoon, observe the daily activities of the local leg-rowing fishermen and their floating gardens. You will also visit NgaHpeChaung Monastery with the decoration of gold gilded wooden Buddha images and numerous teak pillars and famous for its jumping cats in the past. Proceed to the PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the most famous pagoda in the lake containing five sacred images of Buddha covered in gold leaf. Then head to some of the workshops making inconceivable woven items from lotus silk, cigar, blacksmiths or silver smiths. Return to hotel by boat for overnight. Lunch and dinner will be on your own account.

After breakfast at hotel, visit to the colorful floating market which rotates its location between the villages in a 5-day schedule (the market is closed on dark moon and full moon days). Then, a one-hour boat ride will take you to the Indein Pagoda Complex, where you will walk through the bamboo forests and enjoy an exciting view of over a thousand of pagodas and stupa ruins.

In the afternoon, transfer back to your hotel and check out. Enjoy your last boat ride on the way back to NyaungShwe. Then, travel by car to the Heho airport for your flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, picked up by our guide and transferred to the downtown of Yangon for a stroll around Bogyoke Market also known as Scott Market (closed on Mondays and public holidays), where you can find the extensive collection of traditional crafts and souvenirs. After sunset, head to China town to visit the colorful Khen Hock Keong Chinese Temple and the lively night market. Then, you will return to the hotel for overnight. Lunch and dinner will be on own account.
