Today you will drive 70km to northwest of Ho Chi Minh City and pass through picturesque rice fields, gardens, rubber plantations on the way to Cu Chi.

Cu Chi was an important base during the American War, because of its strategic location. Dug out of hard late-rite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered. Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon continue to visit the War Remnants Museum, which features an extensive collection of exhibits including weaponry, photos and documentation on Vietnam’s wars with the French and Americans, and a quick photo stop at the Reunification Palace which was formerly the South Vietnam President’s residence and symbol of the Southern Administration’s reign until end of April 1975. Afterwards, stroll around Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a neo-Roman cathedral built by the colonial French with materials entirely imported from Marseilles, Saigon Central Post Office, former US Embassy, Cho Lon or the city’s China Town with its Quan Am Pagoda.
